I became a fan of author Nicky Wells when I read Sophie's Turn and then I became mad because the book didn't end like I wanted it to and swore I would not read the next book! But then I read Sophie's Run and I felt a little better and with Sophie's Turn I knew I was a fan.  I admit I haven't read Sophie's Encore, but I will because I need my happily ever after!  Nicky has a new release out TODAY and she has been gracious enough to answer a few questions!  Get to know Nicky Wells!

Describe your books in 3 words: Exciting. Hilarious. Unique.

Genre: Romantic Comedy.

Favorite thing about your genre: The unmitigated potential for romantic catastrophe and happy endings regardless.

A genre that I would love to write: Crime!

One thing readers would be surprised to know: I couldn’t write in my native language (which is German). All those compounds and complex syntax structures completely befuddle me.

When writing, night owl or morning person? Formerly night owl, now reformed morning person, courtesy of the kids.

When I’m writing I must have: Chocolate.

Pantser or Plotter? Obsessive compulsive plotter.

I’m currently reading: Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult.

My guilty pleasure: Cocktails.

Which character from your books do you most identify with: Sophie from Sophie’s Turn/Run/Encore. She lives my dream!

My number one book boyfriend is: Am I allowed to pick one of my own? Simply because I wrote Dan to be the best book boyfriend in the world ever. If not, I’d have to go with Jack Reacher. Because it would be good to have Jack Reacher look after you!

7 Years Bad Sex

One wedding. One curse? Disaster ever after…

A seven-years-bad-sex curse? Surely not! Yet something went wrong when rock singer Casey and drummer Alex got married on that beautiful yacht anchored off St Tropez in the south of France. Something went badly wrong. For even on their wedding night, the young couple discovers a complete and somewhat surprising inability to make love. Muddling through their honeymoon with a string of thin excuses for their predicament, the lovers defer finding a solution (and panicking) until the return to their home in London. But when they resume life as normal in London, all hell breaks loose.
