Crossing the Ice by Jennifer Comeaux

Falling hard never felt so good.

Pair skaters Courtney and Mark have one shot left at their Olympic dream. They vow not to let anything get in their way, especially not Josh and Stephanie, the wealthy and talented brother and sister team.

The heart doesn’t always listen to reason, though...

The more time Courtney spends with sweet, shy Josh, the harder she falls for him. But they are on opposite sides of the competition, and their futures are headed in opposite directions. Will their friendship blossom into more or are their paths too different to cross?

I love watching ice skating, there is romance, passionate music and pure joy on the faces of the skaters. There is a feeling of excitement that I feel while watching these athletes skate and I love that they make it  look so easy.  Reading Jennifer Comeaux's Crossing the Ice had me feeling that same excitement.  There are mentions of great songs, Jennifer describes the love and fear of participating in a sport you love, and obviously a great romance all built into this story.  Josh and Courtney are competing in pairs ice skating, hoping for a spot to the Olympics, the only problem is that they are paired with different partners and those partners don't want these love birds together.  The love story between Josh and Courtney was so sweet and real.  The resistance they experienced by those around them was tough and when they competed at the World Finals, I found myself crying in both disappointment and joy.  Jennifer did a great job at developing these characters and you could feel the competitive emotions of participating in a sport where results change in the blink of an eye and winning can be determined by a tenth of a point.  The story moves along smoothly and I found myself starting and finishing the book in the same day.  I will definitely be purchasing Jennifer's other ice skating romances in this series.  This is a stand alone, no cliffhanger.  Steamy-ness is light, but contains enough heat to make your heart race.

An Interview with those handsome and bearded Winston Brothers

Have you read Penny Reid's Beauty and the Mustache? What are you waiting for??  Hot bearded men, HELLO!  I will admit that while Drew went to second on my list of book boyfriends, right behind Quinn Sullivan, I just love those Winston Boys.  There are six of them!! Count them, SIX! That is a lot of testosterone and, lucky for us, it also means a lack of razors.  I had the privilege to get these six handsome men to myself for an hour for a fun interview!  Check it out!
Angie:  Hey guys!  I'm so glad y'all took the time out of your busy schedules to meet with me.  To start off, please introduce yourselves and give one word that describes you. Jethro:Hi, I’m Jethro, the oldest. And I guess if I had to use one word to describe myself it would be ‘lucky’. Billy:I’m Billy. One word: busy.
Cletus:I’m Cletus, the third brother. The one word I would use to describe myself is ‘correct’. Duane:I’m the other twin, Duane. I guess people might describe me as reserved.
Beau:My name is Beau—I…

An Interview with Quinn and Janie from Neanderthal Seeks Human and the soon to be released, Neanderthal Marries Human

Hey everyone!!  Summer is here, school is out and I've decided to pay a special visit to two of my very favorite people, Quinn and Janie.  I just arrived at Quinn's office for the interview.  When I talked to Quinn's right hand woman, Betty, she promised Janie would be at the office too. **knocks on the open door and walks into Janie's office**

Angie:  Hey guys, am I interrupting?  I'm so excited that I get to interview you today! **Shakes Quinn's hand** Quinn, what a nice office.  *blushes*I don't think I've ever been frisked before an interview before, but, Dan's kinda cute, so no harm done. Oh and by the way, I totally have a permit for that gun. I do get it back when I leave, right??  Thanks for taking the time to answer a few questions.   Prepare yourselves, because I have given these questions serious thought and you're goin…
