Penny Reid cannot write bad stuff, she just can't. The Hooker and the Hermit is no exception. Warning to all of you Penny Reid fans, this book is MUCH more explicit than her Knitting in the City series, but it still contains Penny's quirky sense of humor and coupled with L.H. Cosway's sexy writing, the book is a great read. I admit I'm not one for reading the more explicit romance. I like a few details, but prefer not to get a play by play of every move during the sexy times, so I was a little hesitant to read The Hooker and the Hermit. I found that I really liked Ronan from the very beginning and thought he had an awesome sense of humor, but be prepared because most of what comes out of his mouth has a sexual innuendo. Annie is totally someone I found myself identifying with and loved her more quirky reserved personality.
